Seamlessly integrated living areas with a generously proportioned outdoor entertaining space provides much-needed space for flexible family living in this Millswood villa addition.
At the heart of the addition is the light-filled open living area and commercial-sized kitchen. Featuring integrated appliances, sleek cabinetry and a butler’s pantry, the elegant design is an entertainer’s delight. The two-level island creates a stunning focal point for the whole space while incorporating multiple seating areas for family time and socialising.
A free-flowing living and dining area complements the kitchen. Materials and finishes were carefully selected to work with each other, with outstanding results, and the flexible layout provides space for all the family’s activities. To create the seamless transition from old to new, beautiful spotted gum floors were chosen throughout and all internal doors were fully glazed with translucent glass.
An elegantly proportioned master suite comes complete with a separate dressing room and en-suite. Designed as a wet room to maximise the space, the luxurious en-suite is a delight for all the senses. On trend grey tiling draws the eye up from floor to ceiling, visually expanding the room with a bath emerging from the grey-tiled floor.
The main bathroom echoes the same lustrous look and feel with grey tiles, crisp white walls, gloss cabinets and a large walk through shower.
The tired laundry room was replaced with a light, bright design with a long run of bench space, pull out washing drawers and all the storage a growing family could need.
Plenty of windows allow light to flood into the space from all aspects, while showcasing the al fresco area. The L-shaped space is perfect for indoor/outdoor living and even features a TV niched into the wall. A modern Mediterranean feel is achieved using an acrylic texture coating and veined sandstone pavers, which cascade down to the rear garden.
The end result is a home that is not only visually stunning but provides the space, layout and lifestyle that meets the practical needs of the whole family, now and well into the future.
